This park gives me a lot of peace and one of the few quiet places in Palermo.

Even though I have not the Italian citizenship, recently I realized that I can be a citizen and find my own identity in Palermo by being an active citizen at a local level. This scene resonates with me, as it represents a sense of community. I feel a doble sense of belonging in this picture, either to the cause of “Basta Incendi”, either to the participation of young people.

For me, it’s important to go to the summer cottage and have morning coffee on the rocky shore. At the cottage, it’s nice to fish and listen to the sea. I wanted to take this picture because it was the first seaside coffee of the year.

Nature´s biodiversity is important.

From those bookcases, you can put a book in there yourself and then you can take one book from there. And I think that it appeals to people, and young people in particular, to read a book for free. You can also borrow it for free at the library, but it is a bit easier and more accessible than going into a library and asking for it with your card and so on.

This place, which is a sort of zoo is outside Palermo, and I really enjoyed this. I would love to have more of these peaceful places in Palermo.
