Youth Empowerment through co-creative Activity development

Building social bridges and sense of community of all youth through the co-creation of leisure activities.

The YEA project involves community representatives and staff from support and youth organisations, that, if guided, can cooperate with and empower youth to create community.

Our goal

Empower youth to participate more and to become the agents to build a sense of community through leisure activities.

To create deeper and more trustworthy connections

between local organizations, community representatives and individuals involved with local youth.

Leisure activities or sports

have been proved to be engaging and effective tools to promote healthy living as well as diversity and inclusion.

Our objectives:

To collect and share

To collect and share the stories of teenagers and young adults living in vulnerable situations relating to their inclusion process within the local communities, and identify shared experiences;

To emphasize

To emphasize the strengths and resources relating to diversity and inclusion of community services, organisations, and support centres, and guide them to provide a sense of community among youth;

To build

To build social bridges between youth between youth who are in socially vulnerable situations and those who are not through common interests and shared goals;

To empower

To empower youth to make valuable connections with people having potential to change communities;

To facilitate

To facilitate a co-creative process to identify meaningful and inclusive leisure activities that are appropriate to the needs and requirements of the youth and that are also sustainable for the communities.
